Wherever there is no competition due to regulation, the state monopoly only provides “Trabi”-like goods or services (the Trabi was the infamous “Cardboard Car” of the German Democratic Republic).

On many occasions, federal one-size-fits-all money equals “Trabi-Money” being completely and utterly at one decision-making body´s mercy.

When I first heard of cryptocurrency, I thought that this would finally allow for truly diverse and user-oriented “wealth-transfer”. Although crypto might not be the panacea for entire national economies, there is inarguably a need for private, secure, direct and borderless money and information transfer.

Over the course of time, I participated, led and founded several projects in the crypto space. I held speeches where I educated on its potential to build parallel systems enabling people to govern themselves even beyond money.
